DieTrac Technical Institute, Lewisporte, NL is now owned by Lewisporte Community College, Inc. It is under new management and most importantly it will be operated as a Non-Profit College.  A Board of Directors has been put in place and will oversee the operation.

Along with this new beginning, the Marine Institute (MI), Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador , has a presence on the campus with the establishment of the very first  Regional Fisheries and Marine Centre.  This is the first centre of its kind in the province .  All parties involved in this new venture are hoping the presence of a prestigious organization like the  Marine Institute will assist in moving the new DieTrac organization forward.
